Rene Bahloo

René Bahloo is a weaver and facilitator bridging holistic psychotherapy and fine art. Trained in Process-Oriented Psychology, her work is deeply informed by her lived experience in Indigenous relational paradigms and shamanic practices.

She guides individuals and groups to use the ancient craft of basket weaving as a living practice for soul-work. In her sessions, the physical act of weaving with natural fibres becomes a powerful metaphor for holding life's tensions, finding strength in interconnection, and consciously crafting a resilient and authentic self.

Workshop 2026:
Weaving is Healing

Using natural fibres and traditional basket weaving techniques, participants explore how the basket becomes both a literal and symbolic container—a vessel for holding life’s tensions, stories, and the raw materials of inner change. As the weave takes form, so too does a dialogue between hands, heart, and psyche.

This workshop offers a focused opportunity to engage with weaving work as an embodied process of soul crafting - weaving together strength and vulnerability, intention and surrender, individual expression and collective wisdom.

Participants will leave with a woven piece imbued with their own process, and with tools for continuing to listen to the wisdom of materials, the body, and the unseen threads that connect all life.
