Natasha Stokes
I am a student art therapist with a HUGE passion for creativity and a mission to match. I believe that creating art is a deeply healing experience, but that it doesn't have to be quite as deep and clinical as art therapy would encourage. I have spent years formulating a process that meets people where they are at in a warm and uplifting fashion while still working with some of the deeper, more tangled systems in the process. All of the work I have put in is a direct result of myself having done a lot of my own deep emotional work. I am also a skilled artist, but my heart lives in the hearts of others first and foremost. I'm at the point in my life where community service has taken a priority, I have a gift for connection and I don't want to keep it to myself anymore. My organisation is called Bad Art Group, and through this vehicle I hold free meetups to unite strangers several times a week, showing them how safe creativity is allowed to feel.

Workshop 2026:
Creative Self-Discovery Workshop
This workshop is about bringing accessible creativity to all people, regardless of skill level. I hold a deeply safe, yet playful space for people to explore themselves as a process to enjoy, rather than an outcome to criticize - through the act of drawing. We embark on a variety of exercises that bring our awareness to our limiting emotions/beliefs, our creative process (using prompt cards I’ve developed which will also be for sale), and then the act of integrating our learnings (journaling). I give every participant the time and space to reflect on their experience, and I encourage the group to unite over shared experiences (we also unite over a shared drawing exercise). This workshop teaches participants not only to accept their flaws in art, but it also teaches their system how to accept their flaws in life. The playful element keeps the emotional depth balanced with an uplifting buoyancy. It’s a full circle experience.
